Start With Your Mental Health.
Eating right has a lot to do with how you feel, physically and emotionally. If you lack nutrients, it can make you feel ill, depressed, and moody. Since, we get most of our vitamins from the food we eat, you may want to include a regiment of vitamins and minerals in your daily diet.
Eating right is a hard thing to do for some of us and for others it may be easier to do. For some of us it is hard to buy healthier food due to the fact it cost more to fix healthier meals. There are a lot of people that are just making it in the world without having to buy a loaf of bread that cost $2.50 a loaf, when they can get a loaf for $1.50 that's not as healthy.
Some of the healthier things you can eat are vegetables (since fruit is expensive & harder to grow), dairy products, high-protein dishes and so on. You need a certain amount of fat and good carbs to keep you healthy. You can get a list online or from your Public Library on the basic food groups and how to eat better. If you cannot afford to eat right, then eat less of the worst foods and it will save you money to cut out junk foods. In addition, do some excising; jump rope, walk or ride a bicycle - excise will also help with depression and stress. Exercise will improve your health, even if you can't afford really nutritious foods.
For some of us that have been eating wrong all of our life, you can't just jump in and change everything about your eating habits overnight, but you can start with little changes right away. Take some time to learn about good eating habits before you start making major changes. And you will want to consider your own situation and move forward from there.
The right vitamins and minerals we need everyday can make you feel good about yourself. Vitamins and minerals are what make our bodies work right and help us feel good emotionally. So if you eat right and get the right vitamins and minerals daily that your body needs to function, you will feel a lot better about yourself and that will help you to improve your mental health.
